| To open a Poker Stars account, you must be 18 years of age, or the age of majority in your legal jurisdiction (whichever is higher). You need to provide proof that you are of legal age. | |||||||||||||||||
| You can’t play at Poker Stars from any jurisdiction where it is unlawful to do so. | |||||||||||||||||
| To play for real money, you need to provide your correct full name, your correct birth date, and your current address (including Zip/Postal code). | |||||||||||||||||
| You can only create one Poker Stars Account. | |||||||||||||||||
| You can play on your Poker Stars account only, and you can’t allow other individuals use your account. | |||||||||||||||||
Poker Stars Internet Connection Rules |

| Poker Stats is not responsible for the quality of your internet connection or for any interruption to it, excluding those directly related to Poker Stars’ servers. | |||||||||||||||||
| Information between your computer and Poker Stars’ servers will navigate a large number of "peers” on the internet, machines that are not owned by Poker Stars and that do not belong to your ISP. Poker Stars accepts no responsibility for any disruptions to such connections. Players, particularly those who play for high stakes, should consider having a back-up internet connection available, so they can reconnect promptly if their main internet connection fails. | |||||||||||||||||
Poker Stars Unfair Play Rules |

| Collusion, by which two or more players team up in the games or share information to get an unfair advantage over other players, is strictly banned. | |||||||||||||||||
| You may not deliberately lose a hand to another player so as to transfer chips (‘chip dumping’). | |||||||||||||||||
| If you are involved in staking, swaps, profit-sharing, or any kind of bankroll sharing agreement with another player, you can’t play at the same cash game table or in the same Sit & Go tournament as that player. | |||||||||||||||||
| Poker Stars will take actions to detect and avid all forms of cheating, which may include inspection of your account, hand histories, and programs running concurrently with the Poker Stars software. | |||||||||||||||||
| Poker Stars keeps a list of banned software programs and services on its Third Party Tools and Services FAQ page. Players can’t use any of such programs or services on the “banned” list while the Poker Stars client is running. The list is not exhaustive, and Poker Stars reserves the right to add to or modify the list at any time. | |||||||||||||||||
| Unfair play, like collusion, multiple account abuse, and use of banned programs may result in penalties at Poker Stars’ discretion. These penalties may include warnings, restrictions on playing with certain other players, seizure of funds, and the closing of your Poker Stars account. | |||||||||||||||||
| In the event that Poker Stars deems that a User has engaged or tried to involve in unfair play, including without limitation, involvement in any of the activities described above or any other game operation, Poker Stars shall be entitled to take such action as it sees fit, as described in our Terms of Service. | |||||||||||||||||

Poker Stars Chat Rules |

| Excluding the specially designated ‘national’ tournaments, your chat need to be in English. Minor exceptions (e.g. ‘Salut!’) are acceptable. | |||||||||||||||||
| You must chat in a way that would be suitable in a public, for real poker game. Rude, foul, racist, threatening or otherwise inappropriate chat is not allowed. | |||||||||||||||||
| Players can’t use the Poker Stars chat feature to promote any product or service. | |||||||||||||||||
| Players can’t ‘flood’ the chat box by entering bulks of text in order to obstruct the ordinary use of the chat facility by other players. | |||||||||||||||||
| Players can’t ‘spam’ tables with announcements of private tournaments or Sit & Go events. | |||||||||||||||||
Players can’t make any chat comments which influence the play of any hand or tournament, even if you are a viewer. This rule has two exceptions:

| Players must take suitable measures to protect your password and account details, and must not share it with any third party. Especially, Poker Stars encourage its players to select a strong password, and to use one of the special security features provided by Poker Stars. | Players need to take reasonable measures to protect their computer and internet connection from illegal access and malicious software. | |||||||||||||||||

Poker Stars Miscellaneous Rules |

| In draw games, if the original 52 card deck is insufficient to let a player to draw the number of cards asked for, the remaining deck and all of the cards discarded by players before (including those discarded by players on the current drawing round) are shuffled together to create a new deck. When a reshuffle has been done, the server will prevent a player from getting back any particular card he has discarded before. | |||||||||||||||||
| In No Limit and Pot Limit games, the minimum bet will be same as the big blind. However, the big blind is considered as a raise of the small blind. Meaning that before flop, any raise in an unopened pot that is equal to or greater than the small blind reopens the action. | |||||||||||||||||
| The Poker Stars Rules (counting the Ring Game Rules and the Tournament Rules) as scheduled here are intended to complement the Terms of Service, not replace them. In case of a discrepancy between the Card Room Rules (counting the Ring Game Rules and the Tournament Rules) and the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service will be preferred. In case of a discrepancy between the Card Room Rules and the Tournament Rules, the Tournament Rules will be preferred in a tournament scenario. In case of a discrepancy between the Card Room Rules and the Ring Game Rules, the Ring Game Rules will take preferred in a ring game scenario. | |||||||||||||||||
| Poker Stars reserves the right to modify the Card Room Rules, Tournament Rules, Ring Game Rules or Terms of Service at any time, without prior notifying its players. | |||||||||||||||||
| Poker Stars reserves the right to cease your account, or take any other action concerning your account it deems fit, without notice, if the abovementioned rules are breached. | |||||||||||||||||
For any disputes, Poker Stars’ management decision will be final. |
